Looking West

Looking across the lagoon toward "Chicken Cove." The concrete sea wall to the right was constructed in 1982 after the El Nino storms tore out the old log sea wall. Since then, two more El Ninos have not even challenged it. The serenity of the spring, summer, and fall gives way to the stormy winters when the waves come clear to the wall, and on occasion, over it into the campground.
